Riyadh: The National Competitiveness Center’s (NCC) Public Consultation Platform, known as Istitlaa, has unveiled 35 projects focused on economic and development affairs. In collaboration with 15 government agencies, the NCC invites the public, government bodies, and the private sector to share their insights and feedback on these projects before their approval.
According to Saudi Press Agency, notable projects on the platform include ‘Municipal Requirements for Mobile Carts,’ initiated by the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, which aims to enhance the business environment. Public feedback on this project is open until May 28, 2025.
The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants is also seeking public input on ‘Amendments to the Implementing Regulations of the Law of the Profession of Accounting and Auditing.’ This initiative seeks to streamline the licensing process, with consultations open until May 29, 2025.
Further, the Ministry of Tourism is gathering feedback on the ‘Amendment of the Violation Table for Travel and Tourism Services Activities,’ which aims to elevate tourism service quality and ensure regulatory compliance. Input on this project is open until June 8, 2025.
Additionally, the Saudi Ports Authority has introduced the ‘Amendment of Port Services Fees and Charges Regulation,’ aiming to enhance operational quality and efficiency. Feedback for this project will be accepted until June 19, 2025.
The Istitlaa platform’s introduction of draft regulations and by-laws underscores a commitment to transparency in the legislative environment, encouraging public participation by allowing various stakeholders to contribute to the shaping of business-related regulations.
