Yangon: A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar’s southern coast at a depth of 35 kilometers, causing concern among residents in the region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the earthquake’s epicenter was located near the coastal area, which has prompted apprehension among locals due to the proximity to communities still dealing with the aftermath of previous seismic activities. Despite the fears, there have been no reports of casualties or damage.

The tremor’s impact was felt in various parts of the southern coast, heightening anxiety among the populace, particularly in Mandalay and Sagaing. These areas are still in the process of recovery from an earlier destructive earthquake, adding to the stress and uncertainty faced by the residents.
