Bahraini-Saudi media cooperation reviewed

Bahrain News Agency (BNA) Director-General Ahmed Mohammed Al Mannai today praised the solid longstanding Bahraini-Saudi relations highlighted by deeply rooted ties of friendship; respect; unity of religion, language, history and common destiny, steadily growing under the leaderships of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.

During his visit to the Saudi Press Agency Headquarter in Riyadh, the BNA Director-General was received by SPA President Abdullah bin Fahd Al Hussein who gave a brief on the workflow at the various departments there, including news; editing; research and information; photography; digital TV production; administrative affairs; new media, as well as the media center.

The BNA Director-General expressed praise of the SPA's advanced technology that facilitate presenting news and photo services in six languages.

He stressed keenness to implement the directives of Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi to boosting cooperation with the SPA, in terms of exchanging news; information and technical and vocational expertise, in addition to promoting coordination mechanisms by activating their roles as members of the Federation of Arab News Agencies, International Islamic News Agency and other regional and global federations, amid mutual realization of the significance of activating the role of news agencies in providing international media with facts and information to counter malicious propaganda campaigns.

The SPA President welcomed the BNA delegation visit that accentuates both kingdoms' resolve to reinforce media cooperation to enhance both sides' performance.

The SPA President hosted a luncheon in honour of the BNA delegation in the presence of multiple SPA departments' directors.
