Foreign Minister Receives Phone Call From His Kuwaiti Counterpart
BAGHDAD Foreign Minister Mohammad Ali al-Hakim received a telephone call from Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled al-Hamad al-Sabah, congratulating him on assuming his duties as foreign minister in the elected government.
Sabah, according to statement of the Foreign Ministry, confirmed "Kuwait supports for the new government and its willingness to cooperate seriously and constructively for the benefit of the two neighboring countries,".
For his part, al-Hakim thanked al-Sabah for his congratulations and reiterated his sincere desire to develop relations between Iraq and Kuwait and to facilitate all means to achieve common interests.
