Colombia to host BRAVE 15 in September
Manama, Upon directives from HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Honorary President of BMMAF, the Brave Combat Federation announced that the 15th edition of BRAVE will take place in Colombia next September.
The event will be held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Hosting the event in this country represents a return for this prestigious MMA promotion to the South American continent, having taken place previously twice in Brazil and once in Mexico.
It's worth noting that the Brave Combat Federation had earlier announced a strategy aimed at exploring more South American destinations to achieve more successes and extend its reach in this continent. Colombia will host the 15th edition of BRAVE starting from August 29, 2018, on which media representatives will be allowed to meet the fighters. Open training sessions will take place on August 30, 2018, in a local shopping mall, while the official weigh-in will be organised on the following day in the presence of fans.
Commenting on this announcement, CEO of the Brave Combat Federation Mr Mohammed Shahid said, "Colombia has shown steady growth and an active abundance of talent in the MMA sport. The presence of BRAVE at this time only serves to strengthen partnerships and cooperation to expand the growth of this sport in this region as well as to connect with the world using the ever-growing platform of the Brave Combat Federation."
Headlining the 15th edition of BRAVE is the bout between Brazil's Godofredo "Peypey" Castro and Alex "Rolo" Torres of Colombia.
The event will be broadcast by the Abu Dhabi Sports Channel, StarSat, VodaCom, Fite TV and FloCombat.
