Committee to enhance traffic safety

Head of the Traffic Accidents and Violations Unit said that the General Directorate of Traffic had formed a technical committee in cooperation with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to enhance traffic safety on Riya Avenue in Muharraq.

He said that the penal referred recommendations to reduce accidents and ensure the safety of the road users, including the placement of more traffic signs to prevent cars from overtaking on this road as it is a two-side road.

He added that the unit was dedicated to promoting the safety of all roads for the best interests of the public.
