A delegation from the Office of the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, represented by Dr. Yasser Al Naqbi, Assistant Director General for the Sector of Government Leaders and Capacities, and Manal Bin Salem from the Government Leadership and Capacities Sector, attended a meeting chaired by the Civil Service Bureau’s President.
The Emirati delegation presented UAE’s vision 2021, the experience of the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation, and the system of government excellence, all of which enable government agencies to achieve prosperity and happiness for citizens, and meet requirements and expectations of the community to obtain seven-star government quality services with high efficiency and effectiveness, as well as supporting the government’s innovation trends, which brings Dubai and the UAE a competitive advantage and a leading position.
The UAE Government Excellence Programme is a roadmap for governments seeking to reach new heights beyond excellence to achieve the level of leadership in performance and transformation into a proactive, innovative and smart government that will serve as an example for government’s best practices through a set of principles, including efficiency, learning and development. Furthermore, using tools such as modern concepts in government work including innovation, foresight and integration in government work, development of government services in a single platform, intelligent handling of these services, and the National Customer Relationship Management System, will help in achieving that goal.
The meeting, attended by directors-general, directors and other CSB officials, shed light on the UAE government’s E-Performance management system, Management of strategic plans and UAE Government Leaders Programme. The focus was on the experience of government accelerators aimed at speeding up the government’s strategic projects by rethinking how the government works and providing a model and work mechanisms that ensure rapid results in an innovative way.
