An Earthquake hits Khanaqin
BAGHDAD, The Seismic and Monitoring Body in the Kurdistan Region announced that the city of Khanaqin in the province of Diyala, was hit by an earthquake, on Friday.
"An earthquake shook Khanaqin at 9:46 am today," the Body said in a statement. "It was a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale. It is about 26 kilometers from Khanaqin and at a depth of 10 kilometers."
Iraq has been witnessing for several days the tremors of earthquakes in the eastern border with Iran.
