Germany Provides 100 Million Euros In Aid To Stabilize Iraq And Areas In Syria
BAGHDAD, Germany announced it would allocate an additional 100 million Euros to stabilize Iraq and support areas in Syria not controlled by Damascus.
"Berlin will provide 90 million Euros to the Iraqi government to implement programs for the return of refugees, and reconstruct the country and the fight against violence and extremism," a statement from the German Foreign Ministry said after a meeting of the Stabilization Task Force of the International Alliance against "Daesh".
"The German government intends to transfer $ 10 million to support the reconstruction of basic infrastructure in the Syrian provinces of Raqqa and Deir al-Zour, which are not under the control of the Syrian regime."
