OIC Condemns Terrorist Attack in Mogadishu
Jeddah, The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned yesterday the terrorist attack in Mogadishu, which resulted in killing 6 people, including two children, and injuring a large number of people.
Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen Secretary General of OIC expressed his condolences to the government and people of Somalia on this tragic loss of lives, and the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
The Secretary General said that this cowardly attack targeting government buildings and civilians is an attempt by the enemies of peace to undermine peace and stability efforts in Somalia, stressing the Organization's principled position against all forms of terrorism and extremism, which represent a great threat to Member States and to international peace and security in general, and the need to strengthen the global partnership to counter the threat of terrorism.
