Security forces begin a process to track Daesh cells in the province of Diyala
Baquba, A joint security force on Wednesday began an operation to track down Daesh cells in the Khanaqin countryside in Diyala province.
A military source in Diyala told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) today that "joint security forces of the intelligence and the federal police carried out the operation of tracking Daesh cells in the eastern districts of Khanaqin east of Baquba."
He added that "the operation aimed at leaders and gunmen of Daesh and arresting those involved in the bombing of the shrine of Bawa Mahmoud in the outskirts of Khanaqin," asserting that "the security forces succeeded in reaching the important objectives of Daesh organization."
He pointed out that "the process continues until all the goals set for it are achieved."
