Separation operation of Saudi Siamese twins Sheikha and Shumukh started
Riyadh, In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince, the operation of separating Saudi Siamese twins Sheikha and Shumukh started at 07:30 a.m. today at King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital in King Abdulaziz Medical City of the Ministry of National Guard.
The medical and surgical team is headed by Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Advisor-Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), with participation of 30 doctors and specialists as well as technicians and nursing staff. The operation is expected to take 12 hours in eight stages. The twins are four months old and each weighs 6 kg.
