Ferzli: Demands aim to abort election results
Deputy House Speaker, Elie Ferzli, said on Monday that the purpose of the many requests that had been put forward in the context of cabinet formation only aimed at "hindering and aborting the results of legislative elections."
"They seek to form an imbalanced cabinet in a bid to prove that the prevailing tenure is a failure," Ferzli told the Voice of Lebanon radio station.
The Deputy House Speaker went on to say that President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, did not give up on the idea of sending a message to the House of parliament "to terminate cabinet formation stalling."
Ferzli finally said that the legislative session would be held within the period extending from late September to early October, especially that there are urgent laws that must be ratified.
