Lebanese ambassador to South Korea discusses with Korean MP political and economic cooperation prospects
Lebanese Ambassador to South Korea, Antoine Azzam, paid a formal visit to the chairperson of the Lebanese-South Korean Friendship Committee, MP Nam In-soon, at the parliament building, with talks touching on bilateral political and economic relations and ways to develop ties at the legislative level, including double taxation laws and facilitating the entry of Lebanese products into South Korea.
The MP and the diplomat also discussed the humanitarian situation of Syrian refugees and the need for South Korean support to international bodies to support the Lebanese government's efforts in this context, and to achieve a political solution that ensures the return of the Syrian refugees back in Syria.
The Korean official said she understood the Lebanese position, promising to work with her country's Foreign Affairs commission to assist Lebanon, especially as she plans to visit the country next year.
