Rahi steps up calls to preserve Christians’ presence in the region
Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rahi called Sunday for preserving the presence of Christians in the region and to maintain plurality in Lebanon.
The Prelate affirmed that "the protection of the Christian presence is ensured by the coexistence between Muslims and Christians and by separating between religious and state affairs."
The Maronite Patriarch hoped that the political leaders would meet in Parliament to carry out their responsibilities with regard to the socio-economic crisis that is shaking the country.
