Ankara: President of the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) Fahad Aldossari participated in the 14th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Statistical Commission (OIC-StatCom), organized by SESRIC in Ankara from October 1 to 3.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the session brought together heads of national statistics offices from OIC member states to exchange expertise, review best practices, boost statistical capacity, and discuss key statistical trends. The agenda also addressed mechanisms to enhance cooperation in data exchange and capacity building across member countries.

Discussions included the follow-up on the implementation of the OIC-StatCom program of work for 2026-2030, as well as the role of official statistical offices in promoting experience-sharing, harmonizing standards and methodologies, and shaping the future outlook of statistical activities within the OIC member states.
