Kuwait City: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem AlBudaiwi emphasized that the close cooperation between the ministries of education and educational institutions in GCC states has significantly contributed to the exchange of experiences and successful educational practices. This collaboration has helped establish the foundations of an integrated Gulf educational approach that adapts to rapid changes, aligns with sustainable development goals, and meets the objectives of the GCC’s national visions, benefiting Gulf citizens.
According to Saudi Press Agency, AlBudaiwi made these remarks during his speech at the 9th meeting of the ministers of education in the GCC, held on Monday in Kuwait. He noted that the directives from GCC states’ leaders have played a crucial role in advancing and strengthening educational initiatives, leading to remarkable accomplishments in the field.
AlBudaiwi further stressed that future efforts should focus on enhancing joint initiatives, exploring new opportunities for educational integration, and forming partnerships with regional and international organizations. These steps aim to bolster the GCC’s position as a leading global educational hub.
In support of these goals, AlBudaiwi instructed the GCC Statistical Centre to produce an annual report on the progress of GCC states in achieving United Nations’ goals, particularly focusing on quality education. This report will highlight the efforts of GCC states across various levels, supporting researchers and facilitating their studies.
