After Meeting With Saudi King And Crown Prince .. Abdul-Mahdi: We Received A Good Response And Optimistic To Resolve The Situation In The Region
BAGHDAD, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, at the end of his visit to Saudi Arabia, said we discuss regional situations and seek to calm the situation and prevent the dangers of any conflict or war.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office quoted Abdul-Mahdi as saying: We came to the Kingdom to bless the Saudi National Day and met with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince to follow up the growing relations between the two countries and to discuss regional situations and seek to calm the situation and prevent the dangers of any conflict or war and avoid the complications of all this.
He added: The meetings were intense, deep, frank and direct.
Abdul-Mahdi said: We received a very good response in our intensive meetings with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince and we are closer to optimism to move forward to resolve the situation and prevent any clash or the possibility of fighting or war in the region, as everyone does not want war and wants calm, but the situation is difficult and complex, and we must be patient and strive to find keys, doors and solutions acceptable to all parties.
