Guidanian says tourism situation ‘excellent’

Tourism Minister Avedis Guidanian said on Thursday that the tourism situation in Lebanon was "excellent", pointing out that Valentine's Day is an exceptional

occasion and that the turnout in

hotels, restaurants and casinos was

remarkable.

In an interview with "Radio Lebanon", Guidanian noted that the year 2019 witnessed a great come back to European tourists and a satisfactory presence of Arab tourists.

Guidanian also expected a large increase in the number of Arab tourists, especially after Saudi Arabia lifted a ban on its citizens to travel to Lebanon.

Finally, the minister promised to "open new tourist routes between China and Russia in the next few months."
