Iran Stresses The Importance Of Saudi Arabia And Its Important Role In The Region
BAGHDAD, Iran stressed the importance of Saudi Arabia and its important role in the region.
"Saudi Arabia is an important country and we are not seeking to strip it of its role and Iran should not be stripped of its constructive role in the equations," foreign ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said.
On the other hand, Mousavi added that: The Iranian delegation may hold a meeting with the countries participating in the comprehensive plan of action on the sidelines of the plenary session of the United Nations, if traveling to New York.
He said: This meeting can be held on the sidelines of the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly in the event of the visit of the Iranian delegation to New York taking into account the current circumstances.
Regarding the latest developments on the nuclear agreement, the spokesman continued, "If they continue do not implement their commitments in the nuclear agreement, we will continue to reduce our commitments in the agreement and will leave a diplomatic window open in this file."
It is mentioned that the spokesman for the Saudi-led military coalition in Yemen, Turki al-Maliki said that preliminary investigations into the attack on oil facilities in the Kingdom indicate that the weapons, which were used, are Iranian.
Saudi Arabia on Wednesday aired remnants of what it said Iranian drones and cruise missiles used to attack Saudi oil facilities, saying they were "undeniable" evidence of Iranian aggression.
For his part, Iranian Defense Minister Amir Khatami said "the "Ansar Allah" group carried out the attack on oil facilities "by their own means."
