Moscow: Saudi Arabia did not ask for Russian help after the drone attack
BAGHDAD, Saudi Arabia did not seek help from Russia after the drone attack on Saudi oil infrastructure, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Sunday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is aware of the drone attack on Saudi Arabia's oil infrastructure, Peskov said, noting that such incidents do not contribute to the stability of the energy market.
"The drone attack on Saudi Arabia's oil infrastructure is a worrying development for the oil market," Peskov told the Vedomosti newspaper. "Of course, any such disturbance does not contribute to the stability of the energy market." The President Vladimir Putin is certainly aware of these events. "
The Saudi side did not ask for help from Russia after the attack, Peskov said.
The Ansar Allah group (Houthis), announced the targeting of oil fields Abqaiq and Khurais in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia, on Saturday morning, with 10 drone planes, and vowed to expand the scope of attacks inside the Saudi depth.
