PM Expresses Optimism To Resolve The Situation And Prevent Any Clash Or War In The Region
BAGHDAD, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi expressed optimism that the situation would be resolved and prevent any clash or war in the region, noting that the situation is difficult and complex.
"We came to Saudi Arabia to congratulate the Saudi National Day and met with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince to follow up the growing relations between the two countries and to discuss regional situations and seek to calm the situation and prevent the dangers of any outbreak," Mahdi said at the end of his visit to Saudi Arabia. "
He added: "The meetings were intense, deep, frank and straightforward, and we put some ideas on how to find solutions to help the two countries by advancing their relations, especially in the areas of oil and trade, as well as to calm the situation in the region and prevent the evils of war."
"We have received a very good response in our intensive meetings with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince and we are more optimistic to move forward to resolve the situation and prevent any clash or the possibility of fighting or war in the region. Everyone does not want war and wants calm," he said.
He pointed out that the situation is difficult and complex, stressing we should to be patient and seek to find keys and doors and solutions acceptable to all parties.
