SALAMEH AT ARAB ECONOMIC FORUM: LEBANON HAS MAINTAINED ITS CURRENCY’S STABILITY AGAINST DOLLAR
Governor of Lebanon's Central Bank, RiadSalameh, said at the opening of the 25th session of the Arab Economic Forum, under the patronage of Premier-designate SaadHariri, that "Lebanon has maintained its stability against the US dollar, and the lira (Lebanese Pound) is stable."
"The new government ought to have as its top priority the implementation of the Cedre conference decisions and reforms," he said.
"The Lebanese Central Bank shares viewpoints with the International Monetary Fund on the need to reduce the deficit compared to the GDP," the governor added.
