Sustainable Partnerships Conference Concludes with Presentation of 1,000 Research Products, 220 Inventions, Signing of More Than 50 Agreements, and 32 Workshops
Riyadh, Nobermber 24, 2022, SPA -- The two-day Sustainable Partnerships Conference, which was held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Riyadh, under the title: "Research and Innovation towards a Prosperous Economy," concluded this evening, with the participation of 150 local and international decision-makers and leaders, as part of the Ministry of Education's initiative to strengthen ties between Saudi universities as a source for the production and adaptation of knowledge and the industrial and development sectors for the growth and sustainability of the national economy.
The conference hosted 150 ministers, decision-makers, local and international leaders, 100 participants from the industrial and development sector, and 40 Saudi universities and colleges, while 1,000 research products and industrial models for universities were presented, and more than 50 research cooperation and partnership agreements were sealed between universities and various sectors to support the research and innovation system.
On the sidelines of the conference, 40 training workshops specialized in research and innovation, and 25 dialogue sessions were held, in addition to a presentation of 220 scientific inventions through the "Promising Technologies and Innovations" exhibition for citizens and graduates of Saudi universities.
Through this global gathering, the first of its kind in the Kingdom, the Ministry of Education sought to support the research, innovation, and development in Saudi universities, strengthen strategic partnership and integration between universities and industrial and development sectors, identify research and innovation needs of national priority and provide effective solutions, in addition to supporting the Kingdom's indicators globally in research, innovation, industrial and development sectors, thus contributing to building a knowledge-based economy based on innovation and supporting sustainable economic development.
At the end of the conference, the Ministry thanked the success partners, the ministers, and the guests of the conference from the public and private sectors, and praised the participation of Saudi ministries and universities, as well as local and international industrial companies, and expressed its aspirations for the conference to achieve the desired goals, which are all aimed at achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
