Tabsh says Hezbollah behind government formation delay
MP Roula Tabsh on Monday said that Hezbollah's demand of having a minister representing March 8 Sunnis had hurdled the government formation process.
"There is a dire need to form the government in the nearest time possible, but not through using pressure cards," Tabsh said in an interview with Voice of Lebanon radio station.
"The last card Hezbollah had used regarding the representation of March 8 Sunnis in the government delayed the formation process," she added.
"In whose interest is the delay?" she wondered.
The lawmaker also ruled out a change in the positions of President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri.
