Riyadh: The Riyadh Tour, the fourth leg of the second edition of this year’s Global Champions Arabians Tour, concluded on Saturday evening at the Jump Saudi arena with a total prize purse exceeding £24 million, attracting 212 horses from some of the world’s most esteemed studs.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the event was organized by the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation with the aim of elevating the standards of Arabian horse shows, fostering cultural exchange, providing significant competitive opportunities, and stimulating investment within the equestrian sector. These objectives align with the Ministry of Sport’s efforts to achieve the sporting goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The 2025 Global Champions Arabians Tour began in Ajman, UAE, in January, followed by rounds in Doha, Qatar, in February, and Muscat, Oman, in March. This year’s expanded second edition includes nine rounds, with upcoming events scheduled for Cannes, France (fifth), Valkenswaard, Netherlands (sixth), London, UK (seventh), and Rome, Italy (eighth). The final round is set to take place in Doha in December.
