She said at the end of the meeting:

"We discussed with Prime Minister Hariri the coming mission of the State Secretary for Gender Equality Marlene Schiappa, because we plan a tour of the Middle East that we will start from Beirut. We will spend two days in Beirut to highlight what Lebanon is doing and how Mr. Hariri puts forward gender equality. We know that for him it is an important subject and we are very happy to start this tour from Beirut. We also discussed a subject that is important for you, the refugees. And we discussed what is happening in French schools in Lebanon. He gave us his full support to untie all this as soon as the school year starts."

Hariri later met with the Chief Observer of the European Union Election Observation Mission (EOM) and member of the European Parliament Elena Valenciano, in the presence of the Head of the EU delegation to Lebanon Ambassador Christina Lassen and the members of the mission.
