HM King congratulated on landmark achievement

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed on Bahrain's winning the fourth place internationally in the UN Telecommunication Infrastructure Index (TII), sub-index of the E-Government Development Index (EGDI), moving up by 7 places after ranking 11th in 2016.

He paid tribute to HM the King, hailing the royal farsighted vision for the future of Bahrain, which enabled the Kingdom to excel and gain international competitive edge and turned the telecommunication sector into a destination for major companies, in an open and deregulated market for firms and service providers.

The minister lauded Bahrain's string of landmark achievements which, he said, were the fruit of HM the King's sound directives and farsighted vision for the Kingdom's promising future of progress, prosperity and stability.

He prayed to Allah the Almighty to bless HM the King with abundant health and happiness, pledging to spare no effort for Bahrain to remain a thriving country.
