Jeddah: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, presided over the Cabinet session held in Jeddah. The session highlighted the Kingdom’s comprehensive development ambitions across economic, cultural, and social sectors, aiming to advance national progress and benefit citizens.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Cabinet delved into initiatives to stabilize the real estate market in Riyadh, emphasizing the government’s commitment to addressing the city’s rising land prices and rents. The discussions also centered on new oil and natural gas discoveries in the Eastern Region and the Empty Quarter, which are expected to bolster the Kingdom’s economic position and fulfill long-term energy demands.
The Minister of Media, Salman Al-Dossary, stated that the Cabinet recognizes the Kingdom’s high international rankings as evidence of robust support for all sectors, fostering competitiveness and global leadership. Additionally, the Cabinet lauded achievements at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions 2025 by Saudi entities and students, aligning with the Kingdom’s innovation goals.
The Cabinet praised the Human Capability Initiative Conference in Riyadh, which facilitated over 100 launches and agreements to promote international cooperation and Vision 2030’s human capital development goals. Regional and international consultations were reviewed to enhance cooperation and strengthen ties with various nations.
In addressing political developments, the Cabinet reaffirmed the Kingdom’s active role in promoting international security and alleviating humanitarian suffering. The Cabinet welcomed growing international support for the upcoming conference on the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the necessity for a ceasefire in Gaza and humanitarian aid delivery.
The session concluded with several decisions, including mutual assistance agreements with Morocco, short-stay visa exemptions with Malaysia, and environmental cooperation with Jordan. Other agreements involved health cooperation with Iran, educational collaboration with Korea, and tax agreements with Bahrain, Kuwait, and Croatia. The Cabinet also focused on disaster telecommunications, disability cooperation with Djibouti, trade promotion with China, and counter-terrorism efforts with Kenya.
Furthermore, the Cabinet approved licensing for Bank Syariah Indonesia to open a branch in Saudi Arabia and continued state coverage of entry visa fees for seasonal workers during the Hajj season.
