Human Rights Committee: The security forces released 12 demonstrators in Basra

BAGHDAD, The Human Rights Committee announced that the security forces released 12 demonstrators in the province of Basra.

"The security forces released 12 demonstrators in the province of Basra," Fadhil al-Gharawi, member of the committee, said in a statement, calling for "the release of the remaining detainees from the demonstrators."

The Human Rights Committee has revealed yesterday a new toll of dead and wounded of demonstrations and the number of detainees in Iraq, where the number of dead of demonstrators amounted to 14, while the total number of wounded is 742 of them 470 from security forces and 275 from the demonstrators.
