Iranian Vice President Arrives In Najaf
Najaf, Iranian Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri arrived in Najaf today.
The Governor of Najaf province said in a statement that Governor Luai al-Yasiri "presented to Jahangiri an explanation to the Arbaeen visit and what the people of the city of Najaf did to the pilgrims to the holy province and from various countries of the world."
"The local government, in coordination with the federal government, has been able to host these large masses of millions and provide them with all necessary facilities to perform the visit smoothly and safely.
Jahangiri was accompanied by the Iranian ambassador to Iraq and the Iranian consul in Najaf province.
Jahangiri visited the shrine of Imam Ali, accompanied by the governor of Najaf al-Yasiri, the Iranian ambassador to Iraq Irj Musjadi and the Iranian consul in Najaf Hamid Makarem Shirazi.
