Judges, Assigned To The Board Of Commissioners, Meet With The UN Head Mission In Iraq

BAGHDAD, The judges assigned to the Board of Commissioners of the IHEC discussed with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq Jan Kubic ways to support the United Nations Mission in Iraq to work the Board of Commissioners.

"The judges assigned to the Board of Commissioners discussed with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Jan Kubic, ways to support the United Nations Mission in Iraq to work of the Council of Commissioners to implement the Third Amendment Law to the law of the House of Representatives elections," Judge Abdul Sattar Birekdar, spokesman of the Supreme Judicial Council said in a statement.

He added, "The two sides also discussed issues related to overcoming the complexities that accompanied the announcement of the results of the recent parliamentary elections and seeking to implement the provisions of the law in a fair and transparent manner."
