Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League starts on a high note
Sanad Youth Center defeated Northern Al Sehla Youth Center 6-2 to open their Khalid bin Hamad Futsal Tournament on an incredible note, held on Monday at Khalifa Sports City.
With this victory, Sanad Youth Center moved atop of Group 3 with three points. It was a come-from-behind victory for Sanad Youth Center who fell behind in the first half after Qassim Hassan Al Rifai found the net for Al Sehla in the first half. However, a stunning performance in the second half allowed Sanad Youth Center to hit back hard.
Starring for them were Sadiq Jaffar and Nasser Riyadh who scored a brace each, while Hussain Ali and Ahmed Suhail added to their tally. The second Northern Al Sehla Youth Center's goal came through Faisal Mansour Jawad.
In Group 3 also, Al Qadisya Youth Center defeated Al Hamala Youth Center 3-1 to go second with three points too. Al Qadisya have to thank Ahmed Janahi for this deserved win after he earned a hat-trick.
Al Hamala's goal came through Hassan Mohammed. Meanwhile, Salmabad Youth Center stunned Al Jisra Youth Center 5-0 to earn a precious three points in Group 4.
The first half of the game ended 1-0 for the eventual victors thanks to Fadhel Abbas' goal. In Group 4, Muharraq Model Youth Center beat Al Buhair Youth Center in a 15-goal thriller, defeating them 9-6. Muharraq Model Youth Center's had Salman Ali and Hamad Al Qalaf to thank for this win, after the pair scored a hat-trick each.
Important Initiatives
Shaikh Zeyad bin Faisal Al Khalifa, VIVA Chief Government Affairs Officer, branded Khalid bin Hamd Futsal League as an important initiative sponsored by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to provide support to Bahraini youth. He stated that VIVA was among the first Bahrain-based firms that were keen to support this initiative because it's in line with the company's strategy to boost youth in Bahrain.
Meanwhile, Shaikh Shaikh Mohammed bin Daij Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities, hailed HH Shaikh Khalid's initiatives and his visions to advance the progress of Bahraini youth in various sectors, including sports.
