KSGAAL: The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL), in collaboration with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), is set to hold a symposium tomorrow at ALECSO’s headquarters in Tunisia to discuss a report on language policies in Arab countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the event will feature the participation of 50 experts from both the academy and the organization, along with linguists, language planning specialists, representatives from several linguistic institutions, Arab delegates representing ALECSO member countries, and secretaries of national committees.
The symposium will present the report’s findings, discuss its recommendations, and explore strategies for their implementation. It is expected to focus on the future of language policies in the Arab world, seeking to foster effective linguistic strategies and establish a unified framework for language policy data across Arab nations.
The collaboration between the KSGAAL and ALECSO is part of a cooperation memorandum approved by the Cabinet to promote the Arabic language, preserve its integrity, facilitate its learning, and promote Arab culture.
