KSrelief Distributes 3,007 Food Baskets in Pakistan

Matiari: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Monday distributed 3,007 food baskets in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s Matiari and Thatta districts of Sindh province and the Tank and Torghar districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to Saudi Press Agency, a total of 20,444 individuals from the most vulnerable groups in areas affected by floods benefited from this initiative, as part of this year’s Food Security Support Project in Pakistan.

The project aims to provide 147,500 food baskets, each weighing 95 kilograms and containing all the essential food items needed by a family for one month. The baskets will be distributed in the Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, and Kashmir regions, targeting 1,032,500 individuals.

The initiative is part of the Kingdom’s aid efforts through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to enhance food security in Pakistan in response to the humanitarian crisis.
