Army Chief attends combat maneuver in Aqoura-Laklouk mountains: Lebanon remains oasis of security, stability
The Commando Regiment in the Aqoura-Laklouk mountains carried out a battle maneuver with live ammunition in the presence of Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, the Assistant US Secretary of Defense, Robert Karem, US Ambassador to Lebanon, Elizabeth Richard, and a number of officers.
The army commander praised the discipline of the units and their combat readiness to carry out missions, praising the close coordination between land and air forces.
He also praised "the history of the Commando Regiment and its long journey which is full of sacrifices," stressing that "Lebanon will remain an oasis of security and stability in the region, owing to the achievements of the army."
