Former KFIP laureate wins Nobel Prize
Riyadh, Immunologist James Allisson was named winner of Nobel prize in Medicine, the 19th time in a row a former laureate of King Faisal International Prize (KFIP) steps to pick the world's most renowned award.
Few months after being selected as winner of KFIP in medicine, Allisson shared the world best pick for his discovery of cancer therapy by inhibition of negative immune regulation, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
To mark the occasion, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Sabeel, Secretary General of KFIP, expressed happiness at Professor Allisson's winning the Nobel prize, a once more confirmation of the rigorous standards and efficiency of nomination applied by KFIP
