Saudi endorses $50 million grant to UNRWA

Riyadh, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Advisor of the Royal Court and General Supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) and Pierre Krahenbuhl General Commissioner of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) have co-signed a grant memorandum worth $ 50 million to be provided by Saudi Arabia to UNRWA.

KSrelief supervisor said that this grant memorandum aims at alleviating the suffering of more than three million Palestinians refugees in Syria, Lebanon and Jordan in the fields of education, health, relief and protection.

UNRWA commissioner stressed that this great contribution by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has helped UNRWA to reduce the deficit this year, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
