Mario Aoun: Intensified contacts to remove obstacles to forming new government

MP Mario Aoun announced in an interview on Friday with the "Voice of Lebanon" radio station that intensified contacts were underway to remove the obstacles to the formation of the government.

Aoun called the situation "positive", especially following the visit made yesterday by the outgoing Information Minister, Melhem Riachy, to the President of the Republic, Michel Aoun.

As for the Druze knot, he called for more "modesty" in that sense. "The monopoly exercised by the Progressive Socialist Party on the Druze portfolios is illogical," he concluded.
