BAS e- learning project launched
Manama, Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) has launched its e-learning project to develop employees' skills and improve productivity and performance within the framework of BAS's strategy to invest in its human capital.
Senior Manager for Learning and Development Khalid Al Bastaki said: "We started the project in July. The course includes skills that employee may learn by completing a set of assignments and electronic tests".
He added that "With this programme, we aim to reduce the time and effort required for our employees to complete training wherein they can study at a time and place of their preference. This type of training has been very successful around the world, which has led BAS to attract and replicate the experience.
He pointed out that the programme was approved by the Civil Aviation Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunication. The staff involved must exceed the requirements for success, and those who fail twice will be required to attend classes.
The Learning and Development Department reviews and renews staff licenses every two-years. According to reviews, employees are notified three months in advance that their licenses are about to expire. They will be enrolled in the programme and their managers will be advised about their participation, he concluded.
