Rahi calls on politicians to prioritize Lebanon
Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Beshara Boutros al-Rahi, celebrated Wednesday Mass of the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin in Diman, calling on officials to uphold the interests of the country above their own personal interests.
"It is important that politicians turn their personal interests into the benefit of their country, and then the government will be formed along with necessary reforms and development at the economic and social levels," Rahi said in his sermon.
"In this way, Lebanon will maintain the message of coexistence at the level of faith, culture and civilization, and will remain a role model of peace in the region," the Patriarch underscored.
