Abou Hassan says aims to find compromise that leads to government of national unity
Deputy Hadi Abou Hassan said on Friday that the committee formed by the Free Patriotic Movement and the Progressive Socialist Party -- which is sponsored by General Security Chief Abbas Ibrahim -- "is both a need and a necessity in light of the tensed atmosphere that the nation has been enduring."
"With regard to the dossier of relations with the FPM, things are headed in the right direction. Hopefully, this alertness will be translated through a process agreed upon by the committee," said the deputy in an interview with the Voice of Lebanon radio station.
"Political disagreement is a given. However, we must stress the necessity of remaining within the limitations of constants, rights, and return to roots, dialogue, and openness," the lawmaker confirmed.
"We must rise above insignificant things and aim to find a compromise that leads us to form a government of national unity. The PSP has always rallied for settlement within possible limits," Deputy Abou Hassan added.
