Al-Kadhimi Meets The Saudi Economic Delegation
Baghdad, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi met today, Monday, the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia headed by the Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, and members of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council.
During the meeting, they discussed strengthening cooperation between the two countries at various levels, in addition to discussing steps taken to further enhance economic cooperation.
The Saudi delegation conveyed the greetings of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Al-Kadhimi, and the king’s emphasis on the importance of strengthening joint cooperation in all areas.
The Prime Minister welcomed the increase in trade exchange between the two countries after the opening of Arar border crossing last month, and the Coordinating Council called for accelerating practical steps in expanding economic relations between Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The head of the Saudi delegation also affirmed that strengthening the existing cooperation will enable the two brotherly countries to face common challenges, whether in the field of confronting the Coronavirus pandemic, or in economic fields that will positively affect the well-being and stability of the two countries, as well as strengthening regional peace.
