Arab Media Forum in Oman concludes
Salalah, The Arab Media Forum activities were concluded with a stress on the need to enhance media skills and aptitudes.
The closing ceremony was held under the patronage of Ali bin Khalfan Al-Jabri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of information, who delivered a speech in which he pointed out to the importance of the Arab Media Forum in developing journalists' skills and abilities, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
Sadiq Al-Rizaiki, head of the Sudanese Journalists Union (SJU), and deputy-chairman of the Arab Journalists Union said the forum is considered one of the most successful forums organised by OJA, adding that the Arab journalists have the same concepts.
The three-day forum, organised by the Omani Journalists Association (OJA), aims at providing the opportunity for sharing experiences among participants and stressing the importance of developing skills and abilities of journalists and media professionals in the Arab world, as well as highlighting the tourist, economic and cultural landmarks in the Sultanate.
