Basra MPs Suspends Their Membership In The Parliament
BAGHDAD Representatives of the province of Basra, announced the suspension of their membership in the House of Representatives until the response of the three presidencies to their request to appoint two ministers from the province.
"It is regrettable that the province of Basra is treated with great unfairness in the ministerial cabin, which we hoped would be better than its predecessors for Basra and its people, but we were surprised by the degree of negligence that Basra has seen in forming the new government," said Uday Awad.
He pointed out that "Basra, which has been, and continues to be, the main supplier of the economy of Iraq, face this negligence, which we find no explanation and more injustice to this oppressed province, which suffers a severe shortage of basic services, especially water and face environmental conditions tragic.
