Bloc 609 project’s unit distribution continues
Manama, The Housing Ministry started today distributing the keys of the units the Bloc 609 Housing Project in Sitra to beneficiaries.
The move follows the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to distribute 5,000 housing units, within the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to meet the citizens' needs, and in line with the efforts of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, to continue implementing its action plan.
Housing Minister, Bassim bin Yaqoob Al-Hamar, said that the ministry was keen to hand over the keys to beneficiaries on the third day of Eid Al-Adha to share with them the joy of the occasion.
He asserted that the units of first phase of the project had already been distributed, and that the Housing Ministry is currently distributing the units of its second and last phase.
The project is among the main housing projects emanating from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's directives to build 40,000 units, and carried out by the Housing Ministry within the 25,000-unit programme included in the Government Action Plan (GAP), the Housing Ministry said, noting that the distribution of the units of various projects proves that the ministry is on the right track towards achieving the royal directives of building and distributing the 40,000 units.
The minister expressed satisfaction with the progress of the implementation of HRH Crown Prince's order to distribute 5,000 units, noting that the Housing Ministry was keen to distribute the units during Eid Al-Adha days to ensure the continuity of the process, adding that all potentials will be harnessed to finalise the distribution by the end of August.
Al-Hamar extended congratulations to all the beneficiaries, renewing commitment to implementing HRH the Crown Prince's order as soon as possible.
The beneficiaries expressed their joy over receiving the keys of their housing units, extending heartfelt thanks to HM the King, HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince for their constant directives to speed up meeting the citizens' housing needs.
