Halbousi Discusses With Members Of Iraqi-Saudi Coordinating Council The Agreements And MoUs Signed Between The Two Countries
Baghdad, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi discussed today, Sunday, with the members of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council, which is holding its meetings in the capital, Baghdad, the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the two countries, and expanding the horizons of joint cooperation in various fields.
Al-Halbousi stressed during the meeting: Supporting the legislative authority to enhance the work of the Coordinating Council, in a way that contributes to implementing its plans on the ground in accordance with the mutual interests of the two brotherly peoples, pointing to the importance of activating the Joint Parliamentary Friendship Committee, and working to coordinate positions in international, Islamic, Arab and Asian parliamentary forums.
For his part, the delegation expressed the desire of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its keenness to open up and cooperate with Iraq in all fields, stressing that this visit will be a prelude to other official visits.
The Saudi delegation conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, and the Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council to the Speaker of Parliament, Al-Halbousi also send his greetings to the leadership of the Kingdom and its people.
