Hariri receives Brazilian delegation
Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri received today at the Center House a Brazilian delegation headed by the Special Secretary for Strategic Affairs of the Brazilian government Hussein Kalout, who said after the meeting: This is an official visit to Lebanon commissioned by the Brazilian President Michel Temer. The purpose of the visit is to develop the bilateral relations in the fields of defense, economy and technology and to prepare for President Temer's visit to Lebanon next November at the invitation of President Michel Aoun and Premier Hariri.
Separately, Premier Hariri sent a message of condolences to the Jordanian King Abdullah II, in his name and in the name of the Lebanese government.
He expressed his solidarity with Jordan in facing the terrorist attack that targeted a security patrol at the west of Amman and killed a number of its members. Hariri offered his condolences for the martyrs.
Hariri also sent a condolences letter to the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, following the passing of his sister Sheikha Fariha al-Ahmad al-Sabah. He also sent a letter to Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah for the same purpose.
