President Aoun discusses economic affairs with Finance Minister

President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, received at Baabda Palace on Saturday Finance Minister, Ali Hassan Khalil, with whom he discussed the prevailing financial and economic conditions and the preparations for the upcoming 2019 State budget.

After the meeting, Khalil said, “I briefed the President on the international reports regarding the country’s monetary and financial situation, which reflected a general stability despite the difficulties faced by Lebanon.”

Khalil also called for speeding-up the government formation in order to meet the existing challenges.

Commenting on the Syrian Refugees’ file, Khalil assured that “Amal Movement fully supports President Aoun in this context, as expressed by House Speaker, Nabih Berri.”
