Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rahi presided on Sunday over Sunday Mass service at the patriarchal summer retreat of Diman, in presence of a number of political, military and social figures.

Rahi also called on all political class in Lebanon “to carry out the required reforms in all sectors, not to mention that this is a primary condition for obtaining financial aid for donations and long-term loans, as per Rome and Paris conferences.”
Commenting on the Syrian Refugees file, Rahi wished the return of the Syrian displaced to their country, in order to recover their rights and properties.
In the same context, Rahi commented on the Russian initiative, where he called on Lebanese officials to “keep up with this initiative through a unified national reference and in coordination with the United Nations.”
Finally, the prelate urged officials to stop politicizing said initiative for personal and narrowed calculations.
